Now that I have had a few weeks to get back in the swing of the Ops Mgr role, I thought an update from me would be appropriate.  It is my intent that I will publish an update every month or so.

AC FLEET.  After the unexpected and expensive failure of KI’s engine, the ac is restored to full health. TM has carried the load for 152s in KI’s absence and is shortly to go to Turweston for an 100 hour service.  GA has recently returned from its 100 hour and now is the sole PA28 available as we have delivered RY to Oxford for the planned upgrade by the owner (Darren Henshaw).  RY is expected back in early March.

BFI.  The code lock on the main gate into the BFI was less than secure and the gates could be pushed open by raising the 2 bolts reachable through the gate!  To rectify this a strong chain and padlock has been fitted and is to be secured after last refuelling each day,.  The combination is the same as that on the pump cabinet padlock.

T CARDS & ORDER BOOK SIGNATURE SHEETS.  I have audited the T Cards and Order Book Signature Sheets so that they should now reflect the current membership. If I have inadvertently removed your card or signature sheet, please let me know and I’ll replace – I have not thrown any away!

HAC WEBSITE & EBS.  Mark Wingrove & Paul BH are currently working to align the logins for both the Members Area of the HAC website and the EBS so you will have a single login for both;  In the interim a new single “all users” login for the Members Area will be generated and published after the current one became corrupted; it will be circulated as soon as available.  Mark W and I have also reviewed the website and we will develop a process that will result in more frequent updates to news etc; I will be seeking regular input from others to make the site more dynamic and informative – Watch This Space!
