RETURN TO FLYING POST COVID19 LOCKDOWN

Chairman’s Message

Welcome Back!

This page pulls together everything you need to return to flying in April 2021. It includes downloadable documents, guides and links to other areas of the website. There are also be a set of news items as information becomes available which can be seen at the bottom of this page.

Key headline information for the Return to Flying is summarised below.

The Extant Covid Risk Assessment and procedures are fit for purpose with the addition of:

>  One Way System into and out of Hangar – follow the arrows on the floor!
>  Masks to be worn when in premises.
>  Hand sanitisation and gloves at re-fuelling point.
>  Reminder to all – if you don’t feel 100%, then stay away.

–  Our track & trace system is covered through ‘members only’ at HAC. No guests until further notice.

Please remember these limitations when booking.

We will use 2 hour booking slots for all flying 12-25 Apr (0900/1100/1300/1500/1700hrs (L)). This will allow plenty of time for rusty pilots…

42-day currency regain sorties only to be flown from 12-18 Apr (no flying Sat 17 Apr).

All types of dual and solo flying are allowed from 19 Apr onwards.

Monitored private owners flying will take place on 1 Apr (in accordance with extant Chairman’s Directive to Instructors).

Flying Order Books

This link is to documents from RAF Halton relating to the use of the aerodrome. These are uncontrolled copies and you are urged to ensure that the versions attached here have not been superseded by later copies.  If you are aware that a more up to date version is now in circulation please contact us and we will update this page.

T Cards & Signature Sheets

In preparation for our Return to Flying the Signature Sheets and T Cards have been reviewed and updated.   Licence data (ie FCL, FRTOL, Medical and SEP rating expiry dates) are all now aligned with the information that you included in your 2021 membership application forms.

Every active flying HAC member is to maintain an up to date signature sheet to record their current licence details and that the latest versions of necessary orders and instructions have been read.   Student pilots should complete as advised by their instructor.  (if you do not find a sheet or T Card for you or the latter is full, there are blanks at the back of the signature sheet folder for you to complete and insert.)

The version numbers and issue dates of many of the documents for which you are required to sign have not changed since your last signature, so those versions remain current.  However, to confirm that you have re-read them before resuming flying please sign your signature sheet again with the current date.  When new versions are issued all T Cards will be turned to Red and further signatures will be required in the normal way to restore your Green status.
