Dear HAC Members,
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
With not a lot of flying happening at the moment I thought I would compile a list of things that you can do at HAC when the weather is against us.
- Complete the Theory Exams – there are a total of nine exams to pass – why not get them out of the way over the winter period – then you will be summer ready (£25 each)
- Brush up with ground school sessions – the sessions I offer are not just for student pilots – you can book a session to go through anything flying related (£30 per hour 1-2-1)
- Flight Simulator sessions – maintain your flying skills by booking a session on the New PC based Simulator at Halton (£30 per hour with an instructor or £10 per hour solo hire)
- Practice your radio work or even take the radio practical exam
- Plan trips ready for when the good weather arrives
- Think of ways we can improve the club – now is the perfect time to make any improvements to the club before the busy flying season – I’d be more very happy to hear your suggestions.
I really hope that this spell of bad weather is coming to an end, but don’t allow it to stop you from improving your piloting skills.
