Our previous Ops Manager, Mike Howard, remains in the Intensive Care Unit of Harefield Hospital. Our thoughts are with his wife, Jackie, and his family. As soon as we know more, we will pass this on to you.
Please take time to read the following information:
HANGAR DOOR OPERATION
Please remember the following:
– If you move a door by yourself, you must use the handle.
– No mixing of the handle and manual pushing at the same time.
– Once the door is moving, remain either in or out of the hangar – do not cross the path of the door.
– If in doubt, seek assistance.
– If unsure of how to operate the doors, ask a staff member to repeat your induction.
JRPSS SOLO
Our warmest congratulations goes to the 3rd Junior Rank Pilot Scholarship Scheme member to go solo this year. Senior Aircraftsman Josh Flood solo’d in GA this afternoon after just 12 hours’ instruction in 2-weeks.
AIRCRAFT CLEANING EQUIPMENT
The attached photo is of the cleaning products kept in the Ops Room (next to the Auth Sheets).
– Blue Cloths and CAVOK is for aircraft windscreens and windows.
– Yellow Cloths and Turtle Wax is for aircraft leading edges.
– Antibac wipes for aircraft controls.
Use them! If the cloths get dirty, please ask for a replacement.
G-EDGA WINDSCREEN
The new dual-side windscreen in GA cost the Club very close to 1000.00 GBP. Look after it!
