Managing Partial Power Loss

Following Alex Trevett’s excellent presentation on Managing Partial Power Loss on Tue 3 March, the link below is to the Australian Transport Safety Board report to which Alex referred.  Well worth a read, even if you attended the presentation.  I will print and place copy in Planning Room for reference.

Weather Forecasts for Halton

the information in the Ops Mgr’s Update of 17 Jan 26 was incorrect!  The cross section for Halton will not be produced at all after Sun 25th Jan 26.   Instead pilots are to refer to the Benson Cross Section which can be found under the “Station Products” tab on MOMIDS and searching for Benson Cross Section.

The FOB will be updated accordingly at the Jul 26 review.

First Aid

First Aid

One of our newer members (Scott Miles) is a qualified paramedic (and serving policeman) and has been appointed as our First Aid Enabler.  Scott is currently conducting a review of our first aid equipment (both in the Club and the ac) with a view to updating and improving them so you will see new kits and equipment around the Club in due course.  For info the AED (Defibrillator) is going to be moved from Hectors’ House to a more central outside location (likely to be the toilet block opposite the Club) shortly.

Members are reminded that any accident or injury (no matter how minor) is to be recorded in the accident book in the Ops Room (by the headsets) where any first aid supplies used should be noted.
