One of the legacies of the RAF100 celebrations was to inspire the next generation. Once a month a group of local school children visit RAF Halton as part of the Cool Aeronautics project. They spend the day learning about STEM – science, technology, engineering and math.

As you can imagine the activities are all based around aviation and the children get the opportunity to visit the airfield and sit in the aircraft.

A big well done to Mike Russell and the rest of the STEM team for all their hard work making all this possible. You can see from the film how much the children enjoy it.
