Immediate Emergency Response Training (IER)

1. IER TRAINING is still going ahead on 26 Sept until notified otherwise but there are changes to the content and timing:

a. Please do not attend Ops Sqn at 10:00hrs for face-to -face training of module 1-6 as this is not going ahead any more (see download button below).
b. Please read the attached presentation to regain your knowledge of Modules 1-6 prior to your duty.
c. Please attend the Fire Training element (Module 7) at the Fire Section 12:00 hrs on 26th Sept.

i. Please park in the Halton Store Car Park off Rowborough Rd (Google maps) and walk to the Fire Section via the underpass.
ii. Bring a photo ID with you as you shall be entering RAF Halton main site on foot.
iii. Ask them to give you an IER Certificate with Module 7 signed.

2. The IER DUTY has changed a little in that you are now acting as an assistant to the AFM and need to:

a. Bring your recently signed Module 7 (Fire) IER certificate with you for validation.
b. Assume you’ll be there all day but you may be released for periods at the discretion of the AFM.
c. Do not assume that you can fly whilst on duty, HAC IER Orders (Ops Room notice board) refer.

3. Please be reminded that:

a. It is your responsibility to arrange Fire Training prior to your duty (the process to obtain that is changing so see below and standby) and to read modules 1-6 attached.
b. You should arrange any exchange of duty and notify the OpsMan to update the list.

Kind regards

Jon

IER Training Materials Online

Click on the button below which will download a copy of the current IER training PowerPoint slide show in a special format. Save it to a local directory on your computer and then run it. It should be self contained and not require the presence of MS Office or PowerPoint on your system. If anyone hits a problem please send a message back to webmaster@haltonaeroclub.co.uk and one of us will find another format and add it to the website. The file type in this instance is ppsx. It should run as a sequence of slides when executed on your system.
