Dear Member,
Please take time to read the following important information:

G-BNKI

KI’s engine has been sent to Norvic for inspection and the news is not good. In short, this half-life engine requires a full rebuild. This is a financial blow that we could do without – we are currently exploring options for completion of the work.

Spring Clean (was Sun 27th Mar 22)

With just 3 of the 5 HAC aircraft likely to be at Halton on the original date, we will postpone this important event to Sun 8th May (1000-1230hrs) – this will be a ‘no-fly’ day. Please put this important date into your now.

HAC Social Events

After many years of service as the Social Sec, Nicola Parkes has decided not to renew her membership – on behalf of HAC Members past and present, I would like to express my thanks for her work. We therefore require a new Social Sec to complete this important role that gives the HAC its family atmosphere. Please reply to this email for details of this exciting role.

Sky Echo Presentation

We are talking to Mike Tetlow to arrange the first of the 2022 Social Events and hope to run it over the next month. The date will be published soon.

Sky Echo Tablets

Use of ADSB-based Electronic Conspicuity will be mandated at Halton Airfield on 1st Apr 22. In preparation for this, we have purchased 3 x Lenovo Tab3 7″ tablets which will be used with Sky Demon and Sky Echo 2. We are awaiting delivery of the mounting brackets – please ask a staff member for a brief of their use before 1st April.

IER Training Day

My thanks to Mark Devlin for organising the IER Training that took place yesterday. Adi will coordinate the duty roster – completing IER duties is essential for flying at RAF Halton and a term of membership.

HAC Kitchen

Those who use the kitchen are to leave it clean with all mugs and plates washed, dried and cleared away.
The Airfield is currently in good condition, so make the most of the good weather.

Regards,

Mark
